Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Bangladeshi denim makers are planning to expand their market in Vietnam through participating in a denim show that will be held middle of this month in the Southeast Asian country.
At least four Bangladeshi denim industries are taking preparations to participate the upcoming expo, scheduled to be held at Gem Center, HCM City of Vietnam on June 16-17, according to the organizers.
The denim groups are Amber Denim, Square Denims Limited, Aaron Denim Limited and Shasha Denims Limited, reports Sportswear International.
Indian Denimsandjeans.com, a website dedicated to the world denim industry since 2007, is organizing the show aiming to bring reputed denim producers, brands, retailers and supply chain partners together at a single platform.
“At least 34 companies from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, Italy, Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia and Turkey are expected to participate in the upcoming expo,” Rubaiyat Ahsan, local coordinator of the show, told Sportswear International in Dhaka on Friday.
He also said the Vietnamese apparel industry has been emerging as the next major sourcing destination for many buyers, especially from the US market.
