Bangladesh’s foreign minister to visit China, S Korea next week

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Dipu Moni will undertake a bilateral visit to China from October 20 to 22 to hold talks with her counterpart and other senior officials on bilateral issues.

During the visit, the foreign minister will have a bilateral meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and other senior leaders of China, according to foreign ministry announcement. 

She will be there in China at the invitation of her Chinese counterpart.

The foreign minister will also present a keynote paper on ‘Bangladesh’s Role in the South Asia’ in the prestigious Chinese Institute of International Studies in Beijing during this visit.  

On her way to China, Dipu Moni will also visit South Korea from October 17-18 at the invitation of her counterpart Yun Byung-se.
In addition to a bilateral meeting with Korean Minister for Foreign Affairs on October 18, Dipu Moni will also lead a Bangladesh delegation to the ‘Seoul Conference on Cyberspace 2013’. 

The foreign minister is also expected to meet South Korean President Park Geun-hye.  

Dipu Moni will return home on October 22.
