Bangladesh’s health minister heads to Geneva to attend WHO meet

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Health and Family Welfare Minister AFM Ruhal Haque left in the capital Dhaka on Saturday for Switzerland to attend the 128th meeting of the World Health Organization (WHO) executive board.

During the visit, the minister will attend various board meetings being held from January 17 to 23 in Geneva.

Adviser to the Prime Minister Dr Syed Modasser Ali, Joint secretary (Public health and WHO) Shafiqul Islam, Director (MIS) in Health directorate Prof Abul Kalma Azad and director of the Prime Minister’s Office Baized Khurshid Riaz are the entourage.

After the Geneva visit, the minister will attend the 2nd Global forum on Human Resources for Health to be held in Thailand on January 25-29.
