Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Industries Minister Dilip Barua has urged the Indian entrepreneurs to build vehicle factory as well as environment-friendly three-wheelers in Bangladesh to boost up the automobile sector of the country.

He said this as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of marketing of India’s one of the leading automobile manufacturing company, Atul Limited’s diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG)-run three-wheelers at the Golf Garden in Dhaka on Friday.

Atul Autos Bangladesh Limited is manufacturing eco-friendly three-wheelers in association with Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory and has initially started marketing of eco-friendly three-wheelers.

Mr Barua said there is no alternative to developing the communication infrastructure for building an industrially flourished Bangladesh. And with this end in view the government has formulated ‘Industry Policy 2010’ and identified the automobile sector as a priority sector, he added.

He said if any local and foreign investors come forward to invest in this sector, the government will provide all sorts of support to them.

The industries minister also said Bangladesh is the best place to invest in and urged the entrepreneurs to come forward to invest singly or jointly in potential automobile, light engineering and ship building sectors of the country.
