Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Syed Fahim Munaim, chief executive officer and chief editor at Maasranga Television, passed away Wednesday morning in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh.
He breathed his last at his Gulshan residence around 6:00am after suffering a cardiac arrest.
He left behind three son, wife, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Fahim Munaim was an executive editor of The Daily Star.
In the caretaker government in 2007-2008, he also served as the press secretary to the chief adviser.
Later, he joined Maasranga Television, as the chief executive officer and chief editor in 2010.
Fahim also held important positions in the daily Sangbad, The Morning Sun and UNB.
The decision of his burial will be finalise after his two sons reach Dhaka from abroad.
Till then the body will be kept at Square Hospital, the media said.
