Bangladesh’s maritime ports on signal 3

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-All the four maritime ports of Bangladesh have been asked to hoist local cautionary signal No 3 as steep pressure gradient lies over North Bay due to strong monsoon.

The maritime ports are: Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra.

Under its influence squally weather may prevail over North Bay and adjoining coastal areas and maritime ports, said a special bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The bulletin also advised all fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
