Bangladesh’s premier port to open during Eid holidays

Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN) – Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) has taken a move to keep its offices open during the long vacation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr to facilitating the country’s foreign trade.

The CPA issued a circular in this connection on Sunday and urged four commercial banks located on the port premises to keep their branches open during the Eid holidays.

There are branches of Sonali Bank, Janata Bank, BRAC Bank and One Bank on the port premises to serve the international trade.

The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) – hailed the decision of the port authority.
