Bangladesh’s prime bourse to upgrade listing rules

Last updated: July 29, 2012
Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s prime bourse, has taken a move to upgrade the terms and conditions of its listing contract with the companies ahead of their debut trading to ensure more disclosures from company.
A ten-member committee, headed by DSE President Rakibur Rahman, is now working to bring a necessary change in DSE's listing contract with the companies, they added.
Mr. Rakibur Rahman has expressed his hope that within three months the committee would be able to bring 'inclusive changes' in companies' listing contract.
Normally, after the completion of IPO (initial public offering) subscription, the DSE makes a listing contract with the company before its debut trading.
As per contract, the company gives disclosure and the prime bourse continues its monitoring over company's activities.
