Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks saw downward trend in early hour of trading on Thursday, the last trading sessions of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 13.62 points or 0.28 percent to reach at 4,764.28, after first 30 minutes of trade, when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The two other indices also saw negative trend.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 1.74 points or 0.09 percent to stand at 1,867.82. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) dropped 3.44 points or 0.29 percent to stand at 1,180.63.
Turnover on the main bourse stands at BDT 824 million when the report was filed.
Of the issues traded till then, 79 advanced, 104 declined and 55 issues remained unchanged.
Shasha Denim was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 85 million changing hands followed by Lafarge Surma Cement, Olympic Accessories, GP and Demin.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw negative trend in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – lost 7.90 points to stand at 8,913.2, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 42 gained, 49 declined and 13 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 68 million.
