Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks declined for the third straight session on Tuesday as investors were reluctant to make fresh investments.

DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), came down below 4,600 points mark after 7-session and ended at 4,567.04 points, shedding 57.71 points or 1.24 percent.

The total turnover value on DSE came down to BDT 3.87 billion, registering a decline of 11.03 percent over the previous session’s value.

The losers took a strong lead over the gainers as out of 289 issues traded, 202 declined, 64 advanced and 23 issues closed unchanged on the DSE floor.

The port city bourse-Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)-also closed lower with its Selective Categories Index-CSCX-lost 107.77 points to stand at 8,794.59 points.

Losers beat gainers 160 to 38, with 14 issues remaining unchanged at the port city bourse that traded 8.32 million shares and mutual fund units, turnover value of BDT 280.88 million.
