Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks continued its upward trend after witnessing early hour on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the port city bourse of the country, opened with a positive note when the market opened at 10:30am.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced 7.78 points while the port city bourse, selective category index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 6.51 points around 12:00pm.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 7.78 points or 0.17 per cent to reach at 4,469.95 points, when the report was filed at 12:32pm.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 5.54 points or 0.32 per cent to stand at 1,718.83 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also advanced 3.37 points or 0.31 per cent to reach at 1,086.77 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 176 million when the report was filed at 12:32pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 124 advanced, 120 declined and 53 issues remained unchanged.
LankaBangla Finance was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 138 million changing hands followed by United Power, Summit Power, Orion Pharma, Quasem Drycells and Beximco Pharma.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– advancing 6.51 points to stand at 8,375.55 points, also at 12:28pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 89 gained, 61 declined 31 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 11 million.
