Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) will remain closed for nine days from July 1 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr including weekly holidays, officials said.
The decision was taken at a DSE board meeting held on Sunday at the DSE board room presided over by its Chairman Justice Siddiqur Rahman Miah, said a DSE official.
According to DSE official, the Eid vacation will begin from July 4 and continue till July 7. But July 1, 2 and 8, 9 are weekends and July 3 is government holiday, which mean the total vacation will be for nine days.
Trading and official activities will also remain closed at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) during these holidays, said a CSE official.
After Eid vacation, trading and official activities on both bourses will resume from July 10 as regular time.
Trading will begin at 10:30am and continue till 2:30pm, while office will open from 9:30am to 5:30pm in every working day.
