Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Monday after previous day’s sharp decline.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 36.30 points or 0.83 percent to stand at 4,382.63 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 15.67 points or 0.97 percent to reach at 1,615.97 points.

DSEX Shariah Index (DSES) also up 10.73 points or 1.07 percent to stands at 1,007.73 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 520 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 144 advanced, 20 declined and 19 issues remain unchanged.

BSRM Steels was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 65.58 million changing hands till then followed by Lafarge Surma Cement, MJL BD, Unique Hotel and GP.

The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 29.28 points to stand at 8,291.84 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 38 gained, 14 declined and 9 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 29.49 million.
