Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw positive trend in early hour of trading on Tuesday to maintain previous day’s gaining streak.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 29.13 points or 0.64 percent to reach at 4,561.12 points, after first 30 minutes of trade, when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 14.29 points or 0.82 percent to stand at 1,766.30 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 8.55 points or 0.76 percent to stand at 1,120.20 points.
DSE turnover stands at BTD 941 million when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 167 advanced, 53 declined and 37 issues remained unchanged.
Newly listed Olympic Accessories was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 208 million changing hands followed by Lafarge Surma Cement, Beximco Pharma, Square Pharma and GP.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw upward trend in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 22.24 points to stand at 8,499.08 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 77 gained, 40 declined and 18 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 60.18 million.
