Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks down on Tuesday after six straight sessions of gaining streak with turnover dropped slightly as investors booked profit.  
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 38.64 points or 0.84 percent to close at 4,526.49 points.
The DS30, comprising blue chips lost 13.02 points or 0.76 percent to close at 1,688.44 points.
The DSE Shariah Index shed 12.68 points or 1.19 percent to close at 1,047.96 points.
DSE turnover dropped to BDT 6.81 billion which was 13.8 percent lower over the previous session’s six months high value of BDT 7.90 billion.
Out of 293 issues traded, 149 advanced, 114 declined and 30 remained unchanged on the DSE floor.
MJL BD was the most traded stock with shares worth BDT 360.12 million changing hands followed by GP, Square Pharma, Lafarge Surma Cement and BSCCL.
AIMS First Mutual Fund was the day’s highest gainer, posting a rise of 9.62 centwhile Libra Infusion was the day’s worst loser, slumping by 7.48 percent.
The port city bourse, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), also ended lower with its Selective Categories Index – CSCX – lost 62.75 points to close at 8,566.81 points.
Losers beat gainers 121 to 74, with 30 issues remaining unchanged at the port city bourse that traded 11.46 million shares and mutual fund units, turnover value of BDT 467.22 million.
