Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw downward trend in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went down by 20.95 points or 0.39 percent to reach at 5,264.88 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips lost 10.28 points or 0.51 percent to reach at 1,987.50 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) declined 5.31 points or 0.42 percent to stand at 1,237.14 points.  
DSE turnover stands at BDT 1.16 billion when the report was filed at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 79 advanced, 112 declined and 34 issues remain unchanged.
Jamuna Oil was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 145 million changing hands till then followed by Titas Gas, Square Pharma, Singer BD and Delta Life Insurance.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw downward trend trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – lost 11.54 points to stand at 9,900.39 points, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 31 gained, 61 declined and 10 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 72 million.
