Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw negative trend in early hours of trading on Sunday, the opening day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went down by 9.91 points or 0.21 per cent to stand at 4,545.20 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filled at 11am.

DSE turnover value stands at BDT 499 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 86 advanced, 71 declined and 25 remained unchanged.

Heidelberg Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 51.23 million changing hands till then followed by BSCCL, Emerald Oil, Matin Spinning and AFC Agro Biotech.

The port city bourse – the CSE also saw downward trend at opening with its Selective Category Index — CSCX lost 16.08 points to stand at 8,747.87 points, also at 11am.

Of the issues traded till then, 22 gained, 21 declined and 12 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 34.38 million.
