Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)–Bangladesh’s stocks saw downward trend in early trading on Thursday, the last session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 30.42 points or 0.74 percent to reach at 4,068.84 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The two other indices also saw negative trend.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips dropped 12.32 points or 0.78 percent to reach at 1,550.60 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed 6.76 points or 0.67 percent to stand at 998.40 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 675.50 million when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 44 advanced, 114 declined 24 issues remain unchanged.
United Power generation & Distribution Company was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk ACI, ACI Formulations, BSRM and Saif Poertec.
The port city bourse-the CSE-also saw negative trend in early hours of trading with its Selective Category Index-CSCX-lost 45.63 points to stand at 7,636.14 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 15 gained, 53 declined and 12 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 58 million.
