Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks saw downward trend in early hour of trading on Monday, the second trading sessions of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 6.69 points or 0.13 percent to reach at 4,779.79, after first 30 minutes of trade, when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 4.44 points or 0.23 percent to stand at 1,872.46. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) dropped 2.80 points or 0.23 percent to stand at 1,183.99.
Turnover on the main bourse stands at BDT 878 million when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 105 advanced, 104 declined and 41 issues remained unchanged.
Lafarge Surma Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 92 million changing hands followed by SPCL, Olympic Accessories, RAK Ceramics and Peoples Leasing and Financial Services Ltd.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw negative trend in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – lost 19.62 points to stand at 8,912.16, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 35 gained, 44 declined and 16 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 48 million.
