Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw downward trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading sessions of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 8.02 points or 0.16 per cent to reach at 4,789.15, after first 30 minutes of trade, when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 3.67 points or 0.19 per cent to stand at 1,875.48. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) dropped 2.00 points or 0.16 per cent to stand at 1,187.04.
Turnover on the main bourse stands at BDT 864 million when the report was filed at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 107 advanced, 95 declined and 46 issues remained unchanged.
MJL Bangladesh was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 50 million changing hands followed by Beximco, Peoples Leasing, Lafarge Surma Cement and Shasha Denim.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw negative trend in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – lost 0.63 points to stand at 8,962, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 44 gained, 46 declined and 22 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 51 million.
