Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed downward trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday amid volatility, the fourth trading session of the week.
Key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) sheds 0.65 points and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also down 18.33 points after 15 minutes day’s of trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 0.65 points or 0.01 per cent to reach at 4,832.67, when the report was filed at 10.45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 0.46 points or 0.02 per cent to stand at 1,842.41.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed 0.21 points or 0.01 per cent to reach at 1,167.94.
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 164 million when the report was filed at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 66 advanced, 59 declined and 44 issues remained unchanged.
Far Chemical Industries was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 50 million changing hands followed by Beximco Pharma, Brac Bank, Said Powertec and Peninsula Chittagong.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw downward trend with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – losing 18.33 points to stand at 9,002.59, also at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 15 gained, 19 declined and 7 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 89 million.
