Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw downward trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday, after previous day’s flat end.
Key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) sheds 11.61 points and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) drops 4.20 points on Wednesday after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 11.61 points or 0.24 per cent to reach at 4,768.04, when the report was filed at 10.45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 4.05 points or 0.22 per cent to stand at 1,808.82.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed 2.62 points or 0.23 per cent to reach at 1,139.22.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 156 million when the report was filed at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 53 advanced, 77 declined and 39 issues remained unchanged.
Beximco Pharma was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 15 million changing hands followed by CVO Petrochemical, United Power, Alltex Industries and IDLC Finance.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw negative trend with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – shedding 4.20 points to stand at 8,900.86, also at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 17 gained, 21 declined and 7 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 15 million.
