Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw downward trend in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went down by 25.75 points or 0.48 percent to reach at 5,289.36 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips lost 7.38 points or 0.36 percent to reach at 1,994.69 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) declined 5.69 points or 0.45 percent to stand at 1,243.08 points.  
DSE turnover stands at BDT 1.06 billion when the report was filed at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 53 advanced, 158 declined and 38 issues remain unchanged.
Bangladesh Building Systems was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 72 million changing hands till then followed by MJL BD, Titas Gas, Square Pharma and Peninsula Chittagong.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw negative trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – lost 50.52 points to stand at 9,909.19 points, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 18 gained, 87 declined and 17 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 74 million.
