Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw downward trend in early hours of trading on Monday, maintaining the previous day’s downturn.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 12.34 points or 0.24 percent to reach at 5,099.29 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips lost 8.69 points or 0.45 percent to reach at 1,918.19 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) declined 4.07 points or 0.33 percent to stand at 1,201.30 points.  
DSE turnover stands at BDT 570 million when the report was filed.
Of the issues traded till then, 62 advanced, 95 declined and 28 issues remain unchanged.
MJL BD was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 113.33 million changing hands till then followed by Brac Bank, GP, Quasem Drycells and Lafarge Surma Cement.
The port city bourse – the CSE – also saw negative trend in early hours of trading with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – lost 20.78 points to stand at 9,594.19 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 13 gained, 45 declined and 12 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 34 million.
