Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed downward trend in early hour of trading on Thursday, the last session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 13.67 points or 0.30 percent to reach at 4,443.58 points, after first 30 minutes of trade, when the report was filed at 11am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 6.04 points or 0.35 percent to stand at 1,710.99 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) dropped 3.21 points or 0.29 percent to stand at 1,089 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 412 million when the report was filed at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 40 advanced, 126 declined and 40 issues remained unchanged.
Olympic Accessories, which made trading debut today, was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 194 million changing hands followed by Lafarge Surma Cement, IFAD Autos, Tosrifa Industries and United Airways.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw negative trend in early hour of trading with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – lost 26.70 points to stand at 8,343.09 points, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 15 gained, 52 declined and 12 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 60 million.
