Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): stocks on the bourses ended another flat session on Tuesday as most of the investors remained observed the market situation.
The General Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DGEN) ended at 3,618.48 points, gaining only 1.13 points or 0.03 per cent.
The DSEX, however, went down by 5.91 points or 0.17 per cent to close at 3,438.89. The DS30 also rose 0.17 points or 0.01 per cent to close at 1,282.59.
The total turnover value stood at BDT 1.36 billion, an increase of 1.49 per cent from previous session’s value.
Of the 278 traded issues on the prime bourse, 134 advanced, 119 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
RN Spinning was the most traded stocks for the third consecutive session with shares worth BDT 99.55 million changing hands.
Rahim Textile was the day’s highest gainer, posting a rise of 9.93 per cent while Premier Leasing was the day’s worst loser, slumping by 16.93 per cent.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) declined marginally with the Selective Categories Index lost 27.24 points to close at 6,761.79 points.
Losers beat gainers 91 to 61 with 21 issues remaining unchanged on the port city bourse that traded 6.61 million shares and mutual fund units on a value of BDT 173.61 million.
