Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks edged up on Tuesday with improving turnover as investors were active both side of the trading.

Key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gains 1.73 points and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) loses 0.58 points on Tuesday after the third session of the week.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
The prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 1.73 points or 0.03 percent to settle at 4,833.33, after witnessing volatility almost throughout the session.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 2.70 points or 0.15 per cent to finish at 1,842.87. However, the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed 2.75 points or 0.24 per cent to end at 1,168.15.
DSE turnover improved to BDT 4.15 billion, which was 8.1 per cent higher than the previous session’s BDT 3.84 billion.
The losers took a modest lead over the gainers as out of issues traded 323 issues traded, 173 closed lower, 109 higher and 41 remained unchanged on the DSE trading floor.
Beximco Pharma dominated the day’s turnover chart with shares of BDT 345 million changing hands followed by Saif Powertec, Square Pharma, Brac Bank and GP.
Green Delta Mutual Fund was the day’s best performer, posting a rise of 6.12 percent while Tallu Spinning was the day’s worst loser, plunging by 6.66 per cent.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed slightly lower with its Selective Categories Index – CSCX – losing 0.58 points to end at 9,013.81.
Losers beat gainers 137 to 81, with 29 issues remained unchanged on the port city bourse that traded 16.20 million shares and mutual fund units with a value of BDT 347 million.
