Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks were little changed amid mild volatility at midday Tuesday, as profit booking wiped off early gains.
By 12:30pm local time, the benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 2 points or 0.03% to 5,862, after hitting at 5,880 -level soon after open in the morning.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, witnessed fractional rise of 0.8 point to 1,316. The DSE Shariah Index, DSES, was down over 9 points or 0.4% to 2,135.
Turnover in value stood at BDT 6,095 million.
Out of the issues so far traded, 174 advanced, 98 declined and 47 remained unchanged.
CNA Textile came to the spotlight in midday trade, followed by Lanka Bangla Finance, City Bank, Premier Bank, Fu-Wang Food, Generation Next, One Bank, National Bank Ltd, Fortune and Grameenphone.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Category Index CSCX gained about 14 points to 10,974.
It gained over 40 points in the early trade.
