Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Both the bourse of Bangladesh – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – saw downward trend after two hours of trading on Thursday defying morning’s positive note.
After first two hours of day’s trading, DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 23 points or 0.49 per cent to reach at 4,593.35 points, when the report was filed at 12:45pm.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips lost 10.12 points or 0.0.57 per cent to stand at 1,750 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 0.77 points or 0.06 per cent to stand at 1,110 points.
DSE turnover stands at Tk 5.04 billion when the report was filed at 12:45pm. Of the issues traded till then, 104 advanced, 158 declined and 34 issues remained unchanged.
KPCL was remained the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 405 million changing hands followed by RAK Ceramics, SPPCL, Westerm Shipyard and Beximco.
The port city bourse – the CSE also turned negative with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – lost 45 points to stand at 8,664 points, also at 12:45pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 59 gained, 113 declined and 26 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 426 million.
