Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) plunged in the early hours on Sunday as most investors’ are in the selling mood.

The benchmark Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) went down by 52 points or 1.37 per cent within first 30 minutes of trading to stand at 3,740 points at 11am when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded then, only 5 advanced, 125 declined and 12 remained unchanged.

Turnover on the DSE turnover stood at only BDT 152 million till the report was filed at 11am.

Summit Purbanchol Power topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 25 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also   opened with a negative note and the Selective Category Index of the CSE lost 77 points to stand at 7,171 points also at 11am.

Of the issues traded then, only 6 advanced, 67 declined and 7 remained unchanged.
