Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks opened flat in the morning amid slow trade on Monday, maintaining losing streak of the previous session.
Within a few minutes of the opening, the market went slightly up, but failed to sustain and lost some points.
At 10:50am, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, was down 10 points or 0.2% to 5,358
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, dropped about 5 points or 0.3% to1, 989.
The DSE Shariah Index DSES shed about 2 points or 0.2% to 1,249.
On the other hand, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Category Index CSCX lost 11 points to 10,075.
Share prices fell across the board on DSE like previous day, issues so far traded, 112 declined, 81 advanced and 56 remained unchanged.
