Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened higher on Tuesday, maintaining the previous day’s upward momentum, the third trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained 16.29 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 10.82 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 16.29 points or 0.35 per cent to at 4,595.16 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, rose 7.96 points or 0.45 per cent to stand at 1,742.08.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 3.66 points or 0.33 per cent to reach at 1,104.85.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 316 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 128 advanced, 29 declined and 24 issues remained unchanged.
KDS Accessories was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 48 million changing hands followed by Aftab Automobiles, Quasem Drycells, Beximco and KPCL.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw upward trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX – gaining 10.82 points to stand at 8,518.17, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 35 gained, 19 declined 124 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 19 million.
