Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange witnessed upward trend in early hour of trading on Monday, the second session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advances 21.69 points, while the port city bourse, selective catagory index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earns 44.69 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 21.69 points or 0.49 per cent to stand at 4,400.29 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 10.76 points or 0.65 per cent to reach at 1,661.65 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 2.92 points or 0.27 per cent to reach at 1,061.63 points.
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 450 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 97 advanced, 36 declined and 33 issues remained unchanged.
Titas Gas was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 115 million changing hands followed by IBN Sina, Aman Feed, LankaBangla Finance and Dragon Sweater.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw upward trend till then with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– advancing 44.69 points to stand at 8,227.82 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 44 gained, 18 declined 10 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 30 million.
