Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw negative trend in early hour of trading on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced downward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) dropped 0.41 point, while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) declined 2.08 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 0.41 point to stand at 4,441.74 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, fell 2.88 points or 0.17 per cent to stand at 1,688.72 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also lost 0.23 point or 0.02 per cent to reach at 1,078.92 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 243 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 67 advanced, 61 declined and 37 issues remained unchanged.
Alltex Industries was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 23 million changing hands followed by Keya Cosmetics, Al-Arafa Islami Bank, Eastern Housing and BRSM.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw negative trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– falling 2.08 points to stand at 8,302.73 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 20 gained, 18 declined 14 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 12 million.
