Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened lower on Sunday with choppy trading, the first trading session of the week.
Key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) went down by 1.80 points and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also loses 5.0 points after 15 minutes, first trading session of the week.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, went down by 1.80 points or 0.03 percent to reach at 4,855.16, when the report was filed at 10.45am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed 0.73 points or 0.06 percent to reach at 1,181.39.
However, the DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 0.94 points or 0.05 percent to stand at 1,852.22.
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 196 million when the report was filed at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 65 advanced, 57 declined and 42 issues remained unchanged.
Saif Powertec was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 18 million changing hands followed by Far Chemical, Quasem drycells, Premier Cement and Summit Alliance Port.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw negative trend with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – losing 5.0 points to stand at 9,042.95, also at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 15 gained, 25 declined and 10 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 8.85 million.
