Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw negative trend while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened positive in early hours of trading on Tuesday.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went down by 3.91 points or 0.08 percent to stand at 4,412.04 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips lost 2.53 points or 0.15 percent to reach at 1,626.51 points. DSEX Shariah Index (DSES) also down 2.29 points or 0.22 percent to stands at 1,013.12 points.

The turnover value on DSE stands at BDT 780 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 102 advanced, 50 declined and 36 issues remain unchanged.

Lafarge Surma Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 289 million changing hands till then followed by BSRM Steels, BD Building, EHL and GPH Ispat.

The port city bourse – the CSE saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 2.73 points to stand at 8,368.13 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 31 gained, 30 declined and 11 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 44 million.
