Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw positive trend while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened in negative trend in early hours of trading on Monday after previous day’s sharp gain.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 11.67 points or 0.26 percent to stand at 4,498.74 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 8.40 points or 0.51 percent to reach at 1,647.30 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) went up by 3.11 points or 0.30 percent to stands at 1,020.28 points.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 352.80 million when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 112 advanced, 41 declined and 29 issues remained unchanged.

Beximco Limited was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 35.38 million changing hands till then followed by United Airways, BSCCL, Meghna Petroleum, and Appollo Ispat.

The port city bourse – the CSE – saw negative trend at opening with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – lost 8.24 points to stand at 8,532.58 points, also at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 27 gained, 47 declined and 9 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 25.78 million.
