Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks open mixed trend in early hours of trading on Monday amid modest volatility, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, went up by 19.97 points or 0.43 percent to stand at 4,574.48 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11:00am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 12.77 points or 0.74 percent to reach at 1,718.69 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced by 6.85 points or 0.64 percent to stands at 1,067.30 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 908 million when the report was filed.
Of the issues traded till then, 103 advanced, 63 declined and 35 issues remain unchanged.
Khulna Printing & Packaging, which made debut today, was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 208 million changing hands till then followed by Lafarge Surma Cement, BSRM Steels, Appollo Ispat and GP.
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange – saw negative trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – lost 6.28 points to stand at 8,589.98 points, also at 11:00am.
Of the issues traded till then, 38 gained, 35 declined and 11 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 86.48 million.
