Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened with a mixed trend on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh witnessed downturn while the Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, saw positive trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) lost 3.33 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 10.87 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 3.33 points or 0.07 per cent to at 4,590.39 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, shed 2.57 points or 0.14 per cent to stand at 1,742.03.
However, the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 0.13 points or 0.01 per cent to reach at 1,104.33.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 227 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 66 advanced, 50 declined and 47 issues remained unchanged.
Beximco was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 29 million changing hands followed by Titas Gas, Emerald Oil, Quasem Drycells and Saif Powertec.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX – gaining 10.87 points to stand at 8,527.47, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 21 gained, 4 declined 3 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 5.0 million only.
