Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Share prices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw positive trend while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw negative trend in early hours of trading on Sunday, the opening day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 22.55 points or 0.50 percent to stand at 4,453.03 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 279.42 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 105 advanced, 35 declined and 34 remained unchanged.

Lafarge Surma Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 70.55 million changing hands till then followed by National Tubes, Delta Life Insurance, Aftab Automobiles and BSRM Steels.

The port city bourse –the CSEalso saw negative trend at opening saw with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – lost 11.59 points to stand at 8457.40 points, also at 11am.

Of the issues traded till then, 19 gained, 20 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 19.88 million.
