Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened with a mixed trend on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) shedded 4.03 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) dropped 1.64 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 4.03 points or 0.08 per cent to at 4,575.49 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
However, the DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 0.88 points or 0.05 per cent to stand at 1,758.64 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 0.87 points or 0.07 per cent to reach at 1,120.95 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 364 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 75 advanced, 72 declined and 45 issues remained unchanged.
LankaBangla Finance was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 81 million changing hands followed by Quasem Drycells, United Airways, Singer BD and Dacca Dyeing.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw negative trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX – falling 1.64 points to stand at 8,607.35 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 28 gained, 31 declined 11 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 37 million.
