Bangladesh’s stocks open negative

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed negative trend in early hours of trading on Tuesday.
 

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went down by 25.21 points or 0.54 per cent to stand at 4,565.95 points after first 30 minutes of trade at 11am.
 

DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 7.30 points or 0.72 per cent to stands at 1,001.99 points. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips declined 13.16 points or 0.79 per cent to reach at 1,642.55 points.
 

DSE turnover stands at BDT 428 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 68 advanced, 99 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
 

The port city bourse – the CSE also witnessed negative trend with its Selective Category Index --- CSCX lost 41.87 points or 0.46 per cent to stand at 8896.78 points, also at 11am.
 

Of the issues traded till then, 24 gained, 55 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 33 million.
