Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 23.65 points or 0.49 percent to reach at 4,796.11 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 10.85 points or 0.61 percent to reach at 1,771.74 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose 7.79 points or 0.70 percent to stand at 1,114.65 points.
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 260 million when the report was filed at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 102 advanced, 27 declined and 23 issues remain unchanged.
Keya Cosmetics was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 33 million changing hands till then followed by Western Marine, Saif Powertec, Olympic Industries and Beximco.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw positive trend in early hours of trading with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gained 28.03 points to stand at 8,980.66 points, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 42 gained, 11 declined and 8 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 28 million.
