Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading on Tuesday, the last trading session the year-2014.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went up by 24.42 points or 0.50 percent to reach at 4,838.59 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am.
The other two indices saw positive trend. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips gained 11.37 points or 0.63 percent to reach at 1,791.96 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose 6.47 points or 0.56 percent to stand at 1,143.31 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 196 million when the report was filed at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 126 advanced, 54 declined and 49 issues remain unchanged.
MJL BD was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 25.17 million changing hands till then followed by BD Thai, Beximco, DESCO and Lafarge Surma.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw positive trend in early hours of trading with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – gained 17.72 points to stand at 8999.49 points, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 48 gained, 25 declined and 16 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 13.76 million.
