Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks saw upward trend in early hour of trading on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, opened with positive mood.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange earned 34.06 points while the selective categories index of Chittagong Stock Exchange gained 37.94 points after first 15 minutes of trade on Thursday.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
After 15 minutes of the day’s trading, DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 34.06 points or 0.77 percent to reach at 4,405.60, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 15.93 points or 0.95 percent to stand at 1,680.45.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 8.66 points or 0.82 percent to reach at 1,063.66.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 270 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 128 advanced, 25 declined and 22 issues remained unchanged.
Titas Gas was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 60 million changing hands followed by Sonali Aansh, Aman Feed, KDS Accessories and IFAD Autos.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse - the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) - also opened higher trend with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - gaining 37.94 points to stand at 8,172.06, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 42 gained, 6 declined and 5 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 12 million.
