Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed upward trend in early hour of trading on Monday, the second trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, witnessed with gaining trend.
The key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange went up 44.76 points while the selective categories index of port city bourse gained 38.96 points in first 15 minutes of trade.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
After 15 minutes of the day’s trading, DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 44.76 points or 1.01 percent to reach at 4,468.97, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, rose 15.12 points or 0.89 percent to stand at 1,701.52.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 8.90 points or 0.83 percent to reach at 1,074.20.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 440 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 168 advanced, 19 declined and 8 issues remained unchanged.
IFAD Autos was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 142 million changing hands followed by KDS Accessories, Titas Gas, Beximco and CVO Petrochemical.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse - the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) - also opened higher with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - gaining 38.96 points to stand at 8,267.49, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 44 gained, 9 declined and 3 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 16 million.
