Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened with positive trend on Tuesday, the third session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) earned 16.86 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) advanced 10.94 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 16.86 points or 0.36 per cent to at 4,637.18 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 4.58 points or 0.26 per cent to stand at 1,754.66 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose 3.48 points or 0.31 per cent to reach at 1,121.20.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 299 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 123 advanced, 28 declined and 38 issues remained unchanged.
Alltex Industries was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 30 million changing hands followed by Power Grid Company, Al-Arafa Islami Bank, RAK Ceramics and IT Consultants.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse- the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX- advancing 10.94 points to stand at 8,656.47 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 33 gained, 17 declined 8 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 16 million.
