Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks opened with a positive trend on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained 6.75 points while the Selective Category Index of the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 15.92 point after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 6.75 points or 0.15 percent to stand at 4,580.18 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, rose 4.99 points or 0.28 percent to place at 1,754.35 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 2.59 points or 0.23 percent to reach at 1,116.46 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 497 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 69 advanced, 69 declined and 25 issues remained unchanged.
BSRM Limited was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 229 million changing hands followed by BSRM Steels, Al-Haj textile, BSCCL and Quasem Drycells.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index– CSCX – advancing 15.92 points to stand at 8,585.91 points at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 18 gained, 14 declined 7 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 24 million.
