Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed upward trend in early hour of trading on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced 10.19 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 14.04 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 10.19 points or 0.21 per cent to at 4,696.24 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 2.04 points or 0.11 per cent to stand at 1,762.25 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 0.85 points or 0.07 per cent to reach at 1,123.56.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 623 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 123 advanced, 48 declined and 32 issues remained unchanged.
Tallu Spinning was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 83 million changing hands followed by IT Consultants, United Power, Golden Son and BD Thai Aluminum.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse- the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX- advancing 14.04 points to stand at 8,748.96 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 48 gained, 23 declined 15 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 43 million.
