Bangladesh’s stocks open positive

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks opened with positive trend on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced 15.51 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 11.34 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 15.51 points or 0.33 percent to reach at 4,702.72 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 8.42 points or 0.48 percent to stand at 1,761.98 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 2.15 points or 0.19 percent to reach at 1,124.12.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 505 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 121 advanced, 35 declined and 33 issues remained unchanged.
IT Consultants was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 46 million changing hands followed by BD Thai Aluminum, Saif Porwetec, Quasem Drycells and United Airways.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – gaining 11.34 points to stand at 8,716.23 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 42 gained, 16 declined 7 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 28 million.
